Who am I?
I am currently a part time final year student of a Diploma in Human Relationships and Counselling here in Glasgow, my hometown. I am in the final year of my teaching (primary school) career and over the years I have developed the skills necessary to support young children in their development and growth.
My view is that counselling is a professional therapeutic relationship based on non-judgemental respect which offers empathy and understanding. Counselling can mean different things to different people, but in general, it’s a process people seek when they want to change something in their lives, or simply explore their thoughts and feelings in more depth.
I have developed the skills necessary to support young children in their development and growth. Skills which are naturally transferable to Therapeutic work.
I have a lot of life experience to draw on! I am currently completing my Diploma in Human Relations and Counselling with Robert Gordon University. having previously gained the H.D.S - Foundations of Human Relations and Counselling Certificate.
I am fully supported by the MAC team and regularly undertake supervision, which I have found to be invaluable during my work with my clients. I am also PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) Registered with Disclosure Scotland and I am finalising registration with COSCA (Counselling & Psychotherapy Scotland).
