Who am I?
Siobhan’s training background is focused on Cognitive Behavioural therapy (CBT). Friends and family describe Siobhan as kind, non-judgemental and supportive. Siobhan is also a teacher with over a decade of experience working with secondary pupils with additional needs and she is passionate about supporting the young people and their families.

Her Approach

Siobhan is training in Cognitive Behaviour Therapy (CBT) which is a type of talking therapy used to treat a range of mental health conditions including anxiety and depression. CBT focuses on our thoughts and how they influence our feelings and behaviours.

Siobhan is passionate about CBT and believes it can be hugely successful for people struggling with their mental health. CBT sessions are well structured and provide people with practical tools which can be implemented to ultimately improve mental wellbeing.

Experience and Training

Siobhan is currently completing a diploma in Cognitive Behavioural Therapy (CBT) at ACT Counselling Services in Rutherglen. She has also completed the COSCA certificate in Counselling Skills at ACT Counselling Services. 

Siobhan is a member of COSCA (Counselling & Psychotherapy in Scotland) and is also PVG (Protection of Vulnerable Groups) registered with Disclosure Scotland. She regularly undergoes supervision to maintain professional practice.

Open to possibility.....The power of coaching

This July I will be 57 years old, 57! No idea where the time has gone (..oh apart from a pretty full-on career in financial services, bringing up a family, all the usual helping out at clubs, helping my husband run his own business, various qualifications etc. etc.) By a somewhat happen chance my boss decided to give four of us in the opportunity to go on a coaching course. I causally said “why not?”, thinking it was a couple of days in a classroom with a bit of light essay writing. It turned out to be a fairly academic, self-led Level 7 Certificate for Senior Executive Coaching and Mentoring which took over a year to complete, including practical coaching hours. At the same time, I was taking part in quite a challenging senior development program as part of which I was provided with an executive coach.
