Associate Counsellor

Who am I?
My friends often describe me as warm, kind, and someone who truly listens. I have a deep curiosity about people- what shapes them, what gives them hope, and what helps them move forward when life feels hard.

As a counsellor, my priority is to create a safe, non-judgemental space where clients feel genuinely seen, supported and understood. My role is to walk alongside them, offering encouragement as they explore challenges and discover new possibilities for themselves.

How I work

I am especially passionate about supporting young people and adults through times of transition, whether that's navigating the journey into adulthood, adjusting to change, or working through personal struggles. My creative background helps me think flexibly and approach challenges from different angles, but what drives me most is compassion and connection- meeting clients exactly where they are.

Areas of work

I am particularly passionate about supporting clients with:

  • Family dynamics and issues around childhood trauma
  • Bereavement
  • Fertility Issues including IVF and miscarriage
  • Adoption - adoptive parents and those who have been adopted
  • Young people navigating transitions in their lives
  • Relationship communication difficulties
  • Menopause

Experience and Training

  • BA (Hons) from the Glasgow School of Art
  • Postgraduate Teaching Certificate in Further Education
  • Member of COSCA
  • Certificate in Counselling Skills

Professional Background

I spent over twenty years in education, increasingly focused on the pastoral side of my work, which naturally led me into counselling.
