Senior Counsellor

Who am I?
I am a reliable and resilient person, often described as a naturally calming presence. I bring these qualities into my work as a counsellor, creating a safe, secure, and supportive space where clients can explore whatever they choose to bring to sessions. I believe that when people feel truly heard and accepted, reflection, growth, and meaningful change can follow.

Who Am I? (Continued)

I have worked in several areas of health and social care where I acknowledged the impact supportive relationships can have on wellbeing. The passion I had for building such relationships with everyone I worked with ignited my desire to embark on counselling training.  Whilst undertaking my counselling qualification, I worked as a counselling co-ordinator. This role gave me insight into some of the questions and considerations clients may have before starting counselling and the importance of offering each client a professional and informed service, respecting confidentiality and individual requirements from their first contact and throughout the counselling process.

Building strong therapeutic relationships is at the heart of my practice. I value authenticity, trust, and collaboration, and I aim to ensure that each client feels respected and understood throughout our work together.

My Approach

My approach is integrative and client-led. I place your individual needs, preferences, and goals at the forefront of our sessions, adapting the way we work to suit you. I believe therapy is most effective when it feels collaborative and tailored, rather than one-size-fits-all.

Drawing from attachment theory, transactional analysis, CBT, humanistic, and psychodynamic modalities, I work creatively and flexibly. This allows me to respond to you as a unique individual and to support you in a way that feels both comfortable and constructive. Think of it more as having a wide toolkit that lets me meet you where you are. Sometimes that means gently unpicking old patterns; sometimes it’s about noticing what’s happening in the here and now; sometimes it’s making sense of thoughts that feel tangled or competing.
